First Term Accomplishments
In the last four years we’ve been able to take the foundation that was created by those before us, and build upon it with an eye towards continuous improvement and professionalism. We’ve worked with the Village Administration and Police force to implement significant improvements in training, policies and practices, and available resources. We’ve remained staunch supporters of our exemplary Police force, and Campton Hills was ranked among the safest communities in Illinois every year during my term.
We’ve achieved significant increases in the amount of roads we’re paved over the past four years, and we’ve secured grant funding to pave even more in 2025. I drafted and co-sponsored a program to partner with residents experiencing stormwater drainage issues, I recommended a series of hi-viz signage applications for a dangerous bus stop which the county implemented, and I identified new and beneficial training that was held for our emergency responders and our planning commission.
I helped to develop and pass the 2023 zoning ordinance, which gave our community additional freedoms beyond the previously adopted Kane County ordinance, and I helped finalize and pass the 2024 zoning ordinance, which - thanks to our Zoning Commission - created a better organized resource, while further increasing freedoms for our residents. I also worked diligently with the Campton Township Highway District to restore trust and a spirit of partnership, and we were able to shake hands on a new intergovernmental agreement that was seen as a great step forward by everyone involved.
I’ve worked persistently to accomplish all of this and more over the past four years, and it’s been done while always staying within our budget, and without any property tax on our residents.
